Services

Engineering

The group has an engineering department and a study department. These are service departments for the group companies, but they carry out most of their work outside the group.

This department was created in 1988 and carries out studies, calculation notes, plans, and project follow-up for various types of clients and specialists.

The department's areas of activity are diverse and complementary: boiler making, structure, piping, mechanics, handling, etc.

We operate in a wide range of industrial sectors, including the steel, petrochemical, nuclear, chemical, and agro-industrial sectors.

Metallurgical work

The metallurgical work of the Group requires regular inspections to be carried out on welded assemblies or directly on metal parts.

The presence of a unit of inspection specialists within the group has significantly improved our service, allowing us to react immediately in case of urgent inspection.

Our clients also frequently turn to this department to perform inspections outside the scope of their work, in order to confirm their diagnosis of a specific structure whose condition they wish to know with precision.

Major projects

(Refineries and nuclear power stations)

The group with its own teams of boilermakers and welders builds, repairs, and transforms tanks of all types and sizes (up to 95,000m3), mainly for refineries and oil depots. However, its customer base also extends to the chemical, nuclear, energy, and even national defense sectors.

Secomoc Portugal is not limited to tanks but works on all types of plate structures with a thickness greater than 5 mm (repair of spheres, connection of pressure vessels, etc.).

Highly specialized operations are also possible, such as ultra-high-pressure water jet cutting (2500 bar), which allows safe and flameless cutting of plates up to 50 mm thick, and exceptional lifting by crane or jack.

Secomoc Portugal does not limit its activity to France and regularly carries out work abroad, regardless of distance. The group has created subsidiaries in certain geographical areas to carry out part of the work competitively, using local labor.

The construction and commissioning encompass all activities carried out to construct or modify a nuclear power plant and to put its structures, systems, and components into operation. Safety standards, technical reports help us implement these activities and achieve a high level of safety and performance.

Having the skills will enable participation in nuclear project management, engineering, and piping. The ITER fusion reactor project in Cadarache, the construction of emergency diesel engines, and construction and modification works on sensitive lines to improve safety and operation of nuclear power plants in France are some of the projects we are involved in.

Currently, we are recruiting professionals who, after a specialization process, will become the talents of our workforce and innovative processes.
